Deep Space Fusion Rocket Propulsion

Advent is performing research in support of finalizing the design requirement details of Dr. Terry Kammash's Gas Dynamic Mirror rocket propulsion system concept. Dr. Kammash is a Stephen S. Atwood Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. His concept is one of only a few presently considered both feasible and achievable in the near-term for deep space travel such as for manned missions to Mars.

NA0001

Performed parametric analysis of a nuclear propulsion system for an upper stage of a launch vehicle for NASA.

NA0002

Performed computational investigation of two fuel cycles and thrust enhancement methods for a multipurpose upper stage nuclear propulsion system for NASA.
