2008	Embedment of Advent Staff Leads to Major Cost Savings for Client	In a departure from normal company policy, Advent embeds six of its high performing staff members into key management and lead positions for the LES National Enrichment Facility project. In these roles, Advent achieves cost savings for LES of over $30M!
2007	Major COL Role for Advent	Advent was selected for and was instrumental in providing accident analysis support toward the Design Certification submittal of the APWR reactor design.
2005	Multi-year EQ Program Improvement Project Awarded	Advent is selected to assist a Midwest nuclear power plant Owner and projects long term plant savings of over $6M as a result.
2004	Alliance with Washington Group International Finalized	The work alliance between Washington Group International, one of the top three nuclear architect-engineering firms in the US, and Advent is formalized.
2003	Advent Papers Published in Juried Journal	Advent employees publish three papers in two different issues of the peer-reviewed journal IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science.
2002	Alliance with Washington Group International	Advent continues its nuclear power industry involvement by signing a letter of understanding establishing a working alliance with Washington Group International, one of the top three nuclear architect-engineering firms in the US.
	Contract on Aircraft Wire Aging Assessment	Advent again demonstrates its diverse abilities by winning an FAA subcontract through Lectromec to assess aircraft wire aging.
	Contract on Emergency Planning	Advent continues to expand its base by establishing a new business line in Emergency Planning and Evacuation Analysis.
	Advent Employees Become Certified Energy Managers	Advent expands its business line to include Energy Management. Several employees become Certified Energy Managers (CEMs) through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
2001	Advent Principal Named General Chair of Conference	Douglas C. Wood, Vice President is named General Chair of the ANS Probabilistic Safety Assessment Topical Meeting.
2000	Second US Patent Application Approved	Patent granted for Method and Apparatus for Determining Remaining Life of Conductor Insulation Systems through Void Size and Density Correlation.
1999	Second Fast Track Award	Advent was named to this award by the Washtenaw County Development Council for a second year in a row based on outstanding growth in 1998.
	First US Patent Application Approved	Patent granted for method of measuring voids in electrical insulation, an important prerequisite to establishing the insulation's remaining life.
	Advent Officers Receive Professional Society Awards	Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and American Nuclear Society (ANS) recognize two Advent officers with Engineer of the Year awards.
1998	First Fast Track Award	Advent was named to this award by the Washtenaw County Development Council based on outstanding growth in 1997.
1997	Tenth Nuclear Utility Client and First International Client	Advent continues to add nuclear utility clients. In this year, tenth nuclear utility contract with international client Ontario Hydro was signed.
1996	First Research Contract	NASA awards contract to Advent to develop nuclear rocket propulsion approach with University of Michigan professor.
1995	Advent Officer Named to University of Michigan Nuclear Reactor Oversight Safety Committee	Evidence of Advent's technical credentials further established. Advent holds the only non-University position on this committee.
1995	Model for Electrical Insulation Aging Developed	Two US patent applications later result.
1994	Future Fifty Award	Out of several thousand eligible businesses in Southeastern Michigan, Advent was named one of the top fifty successful companies by the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce.
1994	First Government Contract with VA Medical Center	Advent demonstrated diverse capability again by winning a contract to perform architect-engineering services for a government agency.
1993	First Management Consulting Contract	Advent showed diversity again by performing work outside of engineering services in the form of management consulting for Houston Light and Power.
1992	First Fossil-Fired Utility Client	In this year, Advent first diversified outside of the nuclear market to perform services in support of extending life of coal fired power plants.
1992	First Award by Competitive Bid	Advent demonstrated its ability to compete against much larger architect-engineer firms to win this work for Detroit Edison.
1991	Quality Assurance Program completed and approved.	This major milestone achieved through an external client/industry audit qualified Advent to perform critical engineering services at nuclear power plants.
1991	First Nuclear Utility Client	Southern California Edison was the first. Three contracts with nuclear utility clients were signed in 1991.
1990	Company Founded (12/5/90)	Advent Engineering Services, Inc. is incorporated in the State of Michigan.
