Statement 2: Supplier of Specialized Analytical Services

Advent desires to be the premier supplier of cost effective, value oriented engineering design validation services to automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers at the engineering manager and project engineer level. The objective of design validation is to identify and correct design deficiencies up front or in parallel with the design process AND promote and improve overall product reliability. Such services would include:

  • System interaction evaluations
  • Fault tree analyses
  • Failure mode and effect analyses
  • Test plan development and result evaluations
  • Component life assessments
  • Software validation

Statement 3: Quality Assurance

Advent desires to assist automotive Tier 1 through Tier 3 suppliers in developing, refining, and maintaining ISO 9000/QS 9000 Quality Assurance Programs. Advent's expertise takes advantage of lessons learned from other industries to provide long term cost saving improvement solutions to new and existing quality assurance programs. Improvement opportunities will be in the areas of:

  • Performance vs. prescriptive auditing
  • Procedure format, content, and configuration control

Statement 4: Litigative Support

Advent desires to offer consulting services to automotive legal support groups in the areas of litigative support and long term risk reduction from prior "lessons learned." Areas of litigative risk continue to grow as vehicles increase in number and complexity. Advent wishes to assist in minimizing risk by closing the loop on past "lessons learned" and design approaches used by future platform design teams by:

  • Analysis of problems and failure data
  • Expert witness
  • Adding relevant structure to the design process through tracking of design requirements bases
  • Formalizing and prioritizing design criteria into seven categories:
