Corporation Project Experience

Engineer Level II, 2011 to present
Tetra Tech Advent, Ann Arbor, MI

Support PINGP effort to revise EPU (Extended Power Uprate) project documents due to reduced reactor vessel stiffness values resulting in more flexible vertical and horizontal motion under dynamic loading affecting the upset and faulted pipe rupture load cases.

Support for Engineering Change (EC) closeout for Measurement Uncertainty Recapture (MUR) Project.

Review and categorize Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and ECs at PINGP to determine validity of changes and recommendations to cancel or advance changes as necessary to reduce and identify backlog modifications.

Engineer Level I, 2009 to 2010
Tetra Tech Advent, Ann Arbor, MI

Performed validation of calculation status, and mapped calculation data including safety related functions, affected equipment, calculations and drawings on critical mechanical systems including emergency diesels, hydrogen control, fuel handling, spent fuel cooling, safeguard chilled water and equipment coolers for Calculation Reconstitution and Improvement Project (CRIP).

Co-prepared minor revisions to calculations to remove obsolete references.

Calculation of control room envelope, SI and CS room heat loads as well as calculation of data for emergency diesel generator building and control room envelope flow path information for input into Gothic software used in the analysis of the Prairie Island Nuclear Plant Room Heat Up.  This involves study and interpretation of isometric, HVAC and architectural drawings.

Previous Experience
Engineering Intern, 2008
Louisiana Energy Services, Eunice, NM

Assisted with preparation for NRC audit of document control preparation.  Also assisted in gathering information for audit on new document control database to allow for transfer of database control from Cherry Hill, NJ to LES, in Eunice, NM.

Prepared calculations dealing with mechanical loading, piping sizing, and vessel rupture temperature analysis.  Performed analysis of HVAC testing acceptance criterion based on ASME codes and standards required by licensing documentation for LES.

Engineering Intern, 2007
Cargill, Plainview, TX

Performed utility usage analysis for hot water, for the purpose of reduction of boiler duty.
