Corporation Project Experience

Senior Engineer, 2011 to present

Tetra Tech Advent, Ann Arbor, MI

Provided support for Engineering Change Backlog Reduction at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant.  Responsibilities included preparing drawing revisions, resolving corrective actions, and determining validity of existing change requests in support of closing engineering change paperwork.

Engineer Level II, 2007 to 2010

Acted as the lead mechanical design engineer at URENCO USA’S National Enrichment Facility for the gaseous effluent ventilation system and compressed air system and as such was responsible for design criteria, specifications, detailed design development, and interface with Construction, Operations, Maintenance, system and equipment vendors and licensing.  Performed detailed verification review of drawings, specifications, and calculations for HVAC fan/filter units, alpha and Hydrogen Fluoride monitors, dampers, air compressors, fans, A/C units, and liquid effluent collection and treatment system.  Served as engineering resident code of record compliance expert.  Reviewed and provided comments on EQ Central files at Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station.  Performed CDBI inspection support at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant in reviewing and resolving corrective actions, engineering changes, and revising calculations.

Engineer Level I, 2006 to 2007
Tetra Tech Advent, Ann Arbor, MI

Completed Advent 3 day training class on EQ. Prepared EQ Central files and related assessments and evaluations for motor control centers (MCCs), motors, terminal blocks, tape splices, control switches, and current transformers. These tasks required an in-depth evaluation of a recent complex refurbishment project and research and review of equipment configuration control drawings. Assessed and provided resolutions related to configuration control document updates.

Previous Experience

Engineering Intern, 2004 to 2005
Palisades Nuclear Plant.

Determined boundary between non-safety and safety components in scope for License Renewal. Performed walkdowns on components to determine material composition for aging analysis. Created and populated a Microsoft Access database. Helped rectify changes between the old and new License Renewal databases.
