Beginning with the requirements initially fostered by NRC Generic Letter 89-10, the nuclear industry moved to establish programs that would more rigorously establish design basis accident functionality of motor operated valves and later air operated valves. Such programs required design basis requirements to be more meticulously established and testing to envelop such requirements but not exceed valve design loads. Tetra Tech Advent has available several such engineers covering the breadth and depth of such expertise. This experience includes set point and thrust calculations, evaluations of tests results, analysis of signature traces, evaluation of actual installation conditions, and support during NRC audits of MOV Program.
