Tetra Tech Advent has contributed extensively to research efforts in two particular fields of study. Explore our participation in Deep Space Fusion Rocket Propulsion and Electrical Insulation Aging.
Tetra Tech Advent has performing research in support of finalizing the design requirement details of Dr. Terry Kammash's Gas Dynamic Mirror rocket propulsion system concept. Dr. Kammash is a Stephen S. Atwood Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. His concept is one of only a few presently considered both feasible and achievable in the near-term for deep space travel such as for manned missions to Mars.
Tetra Tech Advent’s role in the research included performing parametric analysis of a nuclear propulsion system for an upper stage of a launch vehicle for NASA ( click for details) and performing a computational investigation of two fuel cycles and thrust enhancement methods for a multipurpose upper state nuclear propulsion system for NASA ( click for details)
